Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal includes original scientific publications. All published articles, except editorial studies, are subject to a double-blind peer review process.
Aim and Scope
Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal is a scientific, independent, double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access publication organ of Necmettin Erbakan University. It is published in three issues each year in April, August, and December. The publication languages are Turkish and English.
Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal is a disciplined journal that appeals to a wide audience consisting of medical students, medical specialization students, medical doctors, researchers, and scientists. The main purpose is to ensure that current developments in diagnosis and treatment in general medicine, surgical innovations and quality studies of scientific importance that will contribute to the scientific world are shared in national and international literature. For this purpose, original research articles, reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor are published in all areas related to basic or extended clinical experience in health sciences. Our journal also includes original studies in the field of medical history and ethics.
Ethical Principles and Disclaimer
Our journal complies with the ‘Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing’ (doaj.org/bestpractice). Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal is an online journal aiming to publish articles in all areas related to health.
Articles must contain original data that has not been previously published or sent for publication elsewhere. All studies must have ethics committee approval and this approval must be documented. All studies must state the level of contribution and approval of the authors to the study.
It must be stated that there is no financial conflict of interest at any stage of the study, including data collection, experimental phase, writing, and language editing. Commercial sponsorship, if any, must be declared in the study.
The statements or opinions expressed in the articles published in Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal are the opinions of the authors and do not reflect the opinions of the editors, editorial board, and publisher; the editors, editorial board and publisher do not accept any responsibility or liability for such materials.
Articles deemed appropriate for the journal submission rules and the scope of the journal are sent to at least two referees who are experts in the field for scientific evaluation. In studies where suitability is discussed, assistant editors add their evaluations by taking into account the comments of the referees. The final decision for all submitted articles belongs to the Editor-in-Chief. It is aimed for all articles to be finalized by the editor and the editorial board within three months at the latest. However, this period may be extended due to unforeseen delays.
Basic Publication Policy
The Editorial Board of Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal undertakes to comply with the criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and National Information Standards Organization (NISO) in the publication processes.
Publication Language
The full-text publication language of the articles is Turkish or English.
Article Applications
Submitted articles must be by the purpose and scope of the journal. Original, unpublished, not under evaluation in another journal, articles whose content and submission have been approved by each author are accepted for evaluation.
Readership
The target readership is; professionals in all areas of health, experts, researchers, specialization and doctoral students as well as students related to this field. It aims to contribute to continuous professional development and the spread of research culture.
Fee Policy
There is no fee for article publication and the execution of article processes in Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal. No processing fee or submission fee is charged under any name for articles sent to the journal or accepted for publication. Mevlana Medical Sciences Journal does not accept sponsorship and advertisement in accordance with its publication policies. All expenses of the journal are covered by the Necmettin Erbakan University Presidency.
